日本で唯一の団体 UN ECOSOC NGOです。
UN ECOSOC（国際連合経済社会理事会）は国際連合の主要機関の一つ。経済および社会問題全般に関して必要な議決や勧告等を行います。

PanAsian協会の母体組織であるPanAmerican-PanAfrican Associationは、国連経済社会理事会との協議資格を持つNGOとして55年目を迎えます。
1968年に、文化・教育・経済交流の分野での第一人者であるDr.ロバート プリチャードⅡ世によって設立されたました。後にPanAmerican-PanAfrican Associationはアメリカ州機構などの団体と協力して、南アメリカとアフリカの国々との間のプログラムを促進する活動を拡大しました。
コンサートピアニストおよび主要な文化的人物として、セネガル政府とユネスコによって実施された第1回世界黒人芸術祭の計画を作成したDr.ロバート プリチャードⅡ世の努力を通じて1960年代から幅広いプログラムを開始しました。1990年にはネルソン マンデラ大統領が初めて米国を訪問した際の歓迎の祝賀会にも参加し、南アフリカのアパルトヘイトに反対する文化的ボイコットを開始して反アパルトヘイト運動を支援するために精力的に活動しました。
PanAmerican-PanAfrican Associationプログラムのもうひとつの役割は、アフリカでビジネスを行うことを希望するアメリカ企業を支援し、大陸の同業者と繋がることでした。最近では米国政府からの支援環境も充実してきました。
PanAsian協会は約25年にわたる文化的および経済的交流の分野において協力関係にあります。ドミニカ共和国の農村地域に飲料水を届けるプロジェクト「Water Charity」への助成金寄付をはじめ、タンザニア送電プロジェクト、難民への毛布の寄付、ペルーゴールドプロジェクト、鉱山開発、ケンブリッジ大学スカラシップといった支援に取り組んでいます。
2016年からは、『一般財団法人PanAsian協会』として華宝世珠を理事長に迎え日本国内において財団法人化としました。アフリカ地域の支援としてダイヤモンド鉱山の採掘から加工販売を実施。2019年にはケンブリッジ大学東洋文化研究の若年研究支援スカラシップ「The Cambridge Kahō Postdoctoral Scholar Fellowship in Japan Studies」を締結。2023年2月にアラブ首長国連邦 アブダビ支局を設立。日本文化の美と技術の結晶である振袖大使®の称号を受け、文化交流を通じて社会問題への支援促進に注力しています。

The Foundation is the only UN ECOSOC NGO in Japan that is able to work directly with the United Nations.
UN ECOSOC The United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) is one of the principal organs of the United Nations. It makes necessary decisions and recommendations on economic and social issues in general.
Its parent organization, the PanAmerican-PanAfrican Association, Inc. (PaPa), is in its 55th year of consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
It was founded by Dr. Robert Pritchard, a leading authority in the field of cultural, educational, and economic exchange dating back to the 1960‘s. In the early 1970’s, the emerging independent countries of Africa and the United States. Since then, PaPa has expanded its work to facilitate programs between South America and African countries hemisphere in cooperation with organizations such as the Organization of American States.
Through the efforts of Dr. Pritchard, a concert pianist and major cultural figure, who developed plans for the first World Black Arts Festival at 1965, conducted by the Senegalese government and UNESCO, PaPa initiated a wide range of programs since 1960’s.
Another role of the PaPa program was to support the anti-apartheid movement by initiating a cultural boycott against apartheid in South Africa. Another role of the PaPa program was to support American companies wishing to do business in Africa and to connect them with their peers on the continent. More recently, the U.S. government has provided a more supportive environment.
There is a nearly 25-year partnership with PanAsian Association in the area of cultural and economic exchange. We have donated grants to the “Water Charity” project to bring drinking water to rural communities in the Dominican Republic, and we are involved in a variety of other support efforts.
Since 2016, the PanAsian Association has been incorporated as a general foundation in Japan, with Kaho Seiyu as its president, to support the African region, from mining to processing and selling diamonds, and in 2020 will be awarded the Cambridge Kahō Scholarship for Young Scholars in Oriental Studies, “The Cambridge Kaho Scholarship” In February 2023, established a branch in Abu Dhabi, UAE. We focus on promoting support for social issues through cultural exchange by acquiring the Furisode Ambassador ® , a crystallization of the beauty and technology of Japanese culture.
We can directly suggest what specific contributions we as Japanese and Asians can make at the UN. This is a strong relationship with the UN that only Pan Asian can have.
